The Augustinians own the 814-acre estate on the northwest corner of Keele Street and 15th Sideroad in King City that was originally developed by Sir Henry Pellatt of Casa Loma fame. The Monterey County Agricultural & Rural Life Museum is located in San Lorenzo Park, 1160 Broadway, King City. The park is a county facility. The complex has 6 buildings: the Exhibit Barn, Blacksmith Shop, and Irrigation Building, plus the historic structures Spreckels House (1898), LaGloria Schoolhouse (1887), and the King City Depot (1903). All are completely furnished with turn-of-the-century artifacts. There are outside exhibits of antique farm equipment dating from the late 1800s into the 1940s. The main Exhibit Barn has displays following the development of Salinas Valley agriculture and rural life from the late 1700s to 1910 King City.
The Exhibit Barn is open Tuesday – Sunday 11a.m. to 4 p.m., closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after. The Guided tours of all buildings are available Saturdays and Sundays. All buildings are available to group tours by appointment and are completely ADA compliant.
There is no charge to visit any of the museum buildings. There is an admission fee to the park of $6 per car during the week and $8 on weekends. Seniors and walk-ins are free. The park facility is over 200 acres with an RV campground, playgrounds, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, softball area, numerous picnic areas and hiking trails.

Just outside of King City, midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles, with easy access to Hwy 101. Take the Broadway exit from Hwy 101 and follow the signs.
